Trond Mohn. 10 mill. fra Mohn - Rogaland Avis

– It was the most wonderful gift we could get, and even on Christmas Eve, said a spokesman for the hall committee, Ånen Peat City, on the phone he got from Bergen today.

Hall Committee Sports Club Vedavågen Rogaland see this as the biggest breakthrough in efforts to realize the national pilot project, which consists of multi-purpose and football hall of international dimensions.

Total cost for the Main Hall Rogaland was 59.5 million.

– Sports Club Vedavågen Rogaland wishes to thank the genuinely interested in sport businessman Trond Mohn for the commitment and generosity he has shown, says Peat City.

Mohn is a major contributor to Norwegian sports and research and has a lot of trust. He has supported the construction of a ice rink in Bergen Vest with 15 million, and in 2006 he contributed over 45 million dollars to build new soccer fields in Bergen. In 2009 he gave Tromsø Sports a gift of 10 million to support the club in a financially difficult year. In 2012 received the St. Olav’s Hospital in Trondheim 50 million to a PET-MRI scanner.

Bergen Research Foundation was created in 2004 through a donation of 250 million from Trond Mohn. He has given 100 million to the University of Tromsø.

total he has given over 700 million in cash donations to various causes in education, science and sports.
